We confess the bend towards seeing political identity in people first, rather than the image of the Divine in people first.

We confess the bend towards achievement as first value, rather than being as of first value.

We confess the bend towards competing and winning before humility and hospitality.

We confess the bend towards consuming more and giving less.

Holy One, hear our prayer, receive our confession, and restore us in love. Amen.
