Open Your Eyes

Each day. Every day. There is an invitation to see… the newness, aliveness, and sacredness…

in every. single. person.

So God created human beings in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)

There is in every person an explosion of Spirit, the wonder and awe of the Divine. For some, it bursts out in every breath and smile and word spoken… and for others it has been muted and marred by a life of loss and lumps taken… but it is still in them. Buried beneath the chaos is a sacredness that hungers to find the surface and the self that is the first and forever self.

There is within you the first breath, which planted life in you and exhaled life out of you.

There is a Jewish Proverb which says, “Before every person there marches an angel proclaiming, ‘Behold, the image of God.’ ”

What if we believed that? There is before you, an angel communicating and calling to that which is deepest within you… which is the forever you. That spark, flicker, fire, and forensics of Spirit… is humming within you.

What if we were to open our eyes wide… and approached every single person knowing that before them is an angel introducing you and me to the image of the Divine?

That just might change everything… for everyone.

And it can begin today… with you and me.

Go ahead angel, speak boldly about that which is deepest within each one of us.
